EDUCATION

Johnny Lor is an Enrolled Agent approved to prepare tax returns by the Internal Revenue Service and owner of Lor Tax and Financial Services. He graduated from Missouri State University in 2013 with a Bachelors of Science in Accounting.

WORK EXPERIENCE

After graduating from Missouri State University (MSU) he became a team member at O'Reilly Auto Parts in Springfield, MO, working in their Internal Audit Department as an Internal Auditor. At O'Reilly Auto Parts, he assisted the company in their Internal Controls over Financial Reporting (ICFR), working closely with their external auditors Ernest & Young (EY). In the summer of 2014 he moved to Los Angeles, CA. Accepting a position as a Financial Controls Analyst at Hot Topic, Inc, located in City of Industry, CA. As part of the financial controls group, Johnny assisted the company in their Internal Controls, implementation of the COSO framework, accuracy of quarterly and annual financial reporting (10Q & 10K), and working on various projects with their external auditors, KPMG.

In April 2018, Johnny moved back to Missouri to assist his family full time at their farm and cattle ranch, Lor Family Incorporated, where he became the President and Treasurer.

TAX PREPARATION

Johnny Lor has been practice and expanding his tax knowledge for many years, even before graduating from MSU. His passion for tax preparation began in his junior year of high school where he learned to prepare his own tax returns. His passion quickly expanded in his senior year of college when he assisted tax payers in preparing their tax returns as part of the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program. Throughout his career he would assist friends and family prepare their income taxes every year.

In December 2019 he was approved to practice before the Internal Revenue Service and became an Enrolled Agent. On January 2020 he opened Lor Tax and Financial Services LLC in Wisconsin. And on January 2022 he became a notary public in the state of Wisconsin.
